Robert Murray M‘Cheyne was the subject of the Evangelical Library Annual Lecture given by Rev. John J. Murray in 1993. This is available as a 32 page booklet with the sub-title “The Making of a Man of God”. It is well researched and contains 60 references, 23 of which are for quotes from Yeaworth’s 1957 unpublished PhD thesis or view Abstract).

Did you know that it was a visit to this Ragged School in the Camden district of London in 1843 that inspired the famous novelist Charles Dickens to write, “A Christmas Carol“?
